FAQ

Roswell IT questions, answered

What Roswell owners, practice managers and office managers ask us most.

What does managed IT mean?

It means a single provider is responsible, month after month, for keeping your PCs, network, user accounts, security and backups in shape, at a set fee. You pay to keep things maintained and supported, not just to fix them after they break.

Which areas around Roswell do you cover?

All of Roswell, including Historic Roswell and Canton Street, the Holcomb Bridge corridor and Mansell, plus nearby Alpharetta, Sandy Springs, Johns Creek, East Cobb and Marietta.

How quickly will someone get back to me?

New inquiries get an answer from a senior engineer within one business day. Clients get urgency-based response targets in writing, and most help desk tickets are worked remotely that same day.

What will managed IT cost us?

That comes down to the size of your team, the number of devices and which services you add. Following the review, you get a written fixed monthly price. One-off projects are quoted separately before work starts.

Will we be locked into a long contract?

Before anything is signed, we go over every term of the agreement together. We'd rather keep clients by doing good work than by making it hard to leave.

We have an in-house IT person. Can you still help?

Yes. Many clients keep someone in-house for daily needs and use us for monitoring, security, backups and bigger projects. We agree on who handles what, in writing.

Can you help our medical or dental practice with HIPAA?

Yes. We set up and write down the technical protections HIPAA expects, from encryption and access control to audit logging and backups, and feed that into your risk analysis. Policies and training records remain the practice's responsibility.

Our shop's Wi-Fi keeps dropping. Is that something you fix?

Yes. We survey the space, replace consumer routers with business access points where needed, and put card terminals, staff devices and guest Wi-Fi on separate networks.

What happens if ransomware hits us?

Infected machines are cut off first. Then we trace the damage, rebuild from backups the attacker couldn't reach and walk you through any notice to your insurer, bank, clients or patients. Good prevention and tested backups make recovery much faster.

Should we get rid of our server?

In many cases, yes. A lot of offices can shift files and sign-ins to Microsoft 365 and shut the server down. Some business software still needs a local or hosted server. We check each application before recommending anything.
